Help Us Open The Bike Park

Panhandle Bike Ranch Inc. is the nonprofit heart of Panhandle Bike Ranch, the organization behind our free community programs and our fight to reopen this park to the public.

After 10 months operating with Bonner County's approval, the county filed for an injunction, and the judge ruled in their favor, limiting use to family and close friends. We're pursuing two paths to get back open, both aimed at the 2027 season.

The first is a Conditional Use Permit, which would restore outdoor recreation access for the whole community. Our CUP has been approved twice before, so we're hopeful this time will be no different. The second is an appeal of the injunction, which could reach the Idaho Supreme Court, because we believe it violates our private property rights — our right, as landowners, to use our own land responsibly and in good faith. That right matters not just to us, but to every landowner who believes reasonable use of their property shouldn't require years of litigation to defend.

Legal fees are mounting fast, and they're now one of the biggest costs standing between us and getting the park back open to the public.

Your donation goes directly toward:

• Legal defense — attorney fees for our CUP application and our appeal of the injunction
• Getting back to free community programs — including our Honor and Ride program for Veterans, Send It youth scholarships, Grit & Grace women's riding events, and other community access initiatives, once we reopen
• Protecting the land — trail and property care to preserve what our community has built
