About Panhandle Bike Ranch

Panhandle Bike Ranch is a 170-acre nonprofit mountain biking facility in Sagle, Idaho dedicated to building community through the sport of mountain biking. We serve riders of all ages and abilities and are committed to making mountain biking accessible to everyone in North Idaho. All funds raised through our events directly support our nonprofit mission — including our next big goal: an air bag and downhill training course designed to give the children of North Idaho a world-class place to learn and progress.

Position Overview

We are launching our first ever season opener fundraiser and we need passionate, creative volunteers to help make it happen. This is a ground-floor opportunity — we have the vision, the venue, and the mission. What we need is someone with the energy, ideas, and organizational drive to help us build this event from the ground up. If you love mountain biking, love community, and love bringing people together, this is your chance to leave a real mark on North Idaho's riding scene.

The event will take place on a Saturday or Sunday and is designed to welcome both riders and non-riders alike — a true community celebration that opens the park for the season and raises funds for something that will benefit kids in our region for years to come.

What You'll Help Build

  • Develop the overall event concept, format, and activity programming
  • Identify and coordinate volunteer needs for day-of execution
  • Assist with sponsorship outreach and community partnerships
  • Help plan food, beverage, and vendor coordination
  • Support marketing and social media promotion leading up to the event
  • Organize day-of logistics including registration, check-in, and fundraising activities
  • Help create a welcoming experience for riders and non-riders of all ages

Who We're Looking For

  • Someone with event planning experience or a strong desire to learn
  • Creative, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative
  • Passionate about mountain biking, community, or both
  • Strong communicator who works well with a small, dedicated team
  • Organized and reliable with the ability to follow through from planning to execution

Shuttle Driver

Panhandle Bike Ranch | Sagle, Idaho | Part-Time / Seasonal

About Panhandle Bike Ranch

Panhandle Bike Ranch is a 170-acre nonprofit mountain biking facility in Sagle, Idaho with a trail system ranging from beginner flow trails to expert-level jump lines and technical terrain. Our shuttle operation is the heartbeat of the park — keeping riders moving, stoked, and coming back for more laps all day long.

Position Overview

We are looking for reliable, friendly, and safety-conscious Shuttle Drivers to keep our operation running smoothly. You'll work one 3-hour shift shuttling riders to the top of the mountain, then the rest of the shuttle day is yours to ride. If you love mountain biking and want to be part of a tight-knit crew doing something they love, this might be your ideal gig.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport riders and bikes to the top of the shuttle route
  • Assist with loading and unloading bikes and gear at each stop
  • Perform basic pre-shift vehicle checks and report any maintenance concerns to staff
  • Communicate current trail conditions and relevant park information to riders
  • Coordinate with staff on shuttle timing, capacity, and any operational adjustments throughout the shift
  • Maintain a welcoming, positive atmosphere for all riders in your vehicle
  • Follow all Panhandle Bike Ranch safety protocols and driving standards

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid standard driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Comfortable driving a truck and trailer on unpaved mountain terrain
  • Friendly, reliable, and punctual with strong people skills
  • Familiarity with mountain biking and bike park culture a plus
  • Ability to assist with loading and unloading bikes safely and efficiently
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening

Schedule & Compensation

  • Friday: 12:00pm – 3:00pm or 3:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am – 1:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm
  • Drivers work one 3-hour shift per day. The remaining shuttle window is yours to ride.
  • $15/hour

Ranch Ride with a Guide — Volunteer Trail Guide

About Panhandle Bike Ranch

Panhandle Bike Ranch is a 170-acre nonprofit mountain biking facility in Sagle, Idaho. Our shuttle-served trail system spans everything from gentle flow trails like First Rodeo and Bar Dog to technical lines and expert jump trails. We exist to serve our community and make mountain biking accessible to everyone — and our volunteer Trail Guides are a big part of how we do that.

Position Overview

Our volunteer Trail Guides are the on-trail ambassadors of Panhandle Bike Ranch — think mountain host at a ski resort, but for mountain biking. You know our trails inside and out, and you love sharing that knowledge. Whether you're orienting a nervous beginner on their first shuttle run down First Rodeo or helping an advanced rider find their lines on B90, you bring enthusiasm, expertise, and genuine care for every guest's experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 2.5-hour guided ride sessions for groups of up to 4 riders of similar ability
  • Tailor trail selection, pacing, and coaching to the goals and skill level of each group
  • Assist first-time visitors with shuttle logistics, trail navigation, and park orientation
  • Provide feature coaching, line choice guidance, and real-time feedback on the trail
  • Maintain safety awareness throughout each session and enforce park protocols
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, welcoming representative of Panhandle Bike Ranch

Qualifications

  • Strong, confident mountain bike skills across a range of trail types at Panhandle Bike Ranch
  • Deep familiarity with the Panhandle Bike Ranch trail system
  • Prior experience guiding, teaching, or leading groups on the trail preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering a high-quality guest experience
  • Availability to honor scheduled guide commitments; reservations required at least 24 hours in advance

Grit and Grace Clinic Instructor — Women's Mountain Bike Series

About Panhandle Bike Ranch

Panhandle Bike Ranch is a 170-acre nonprofit mountain biking facility in Sagle, Idaho. Our shuttle-served trail system offers everything from family-friendly flow trails to technical and jump-heavy terrain, giving riders of all abilities room to grow. Our Grit and Grace Women's Evening Ride Series is a four-week progressive skills program designed to build confidence, community, and technical ability in a women-only environment. It's one of our most beloved programs — and the instructor at its center makes all the difference.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate instructor to lead our Grit and Grace clinic series on Wednesday evenings. This role is central to creating the safe, relatable, and empowering environment that makes Grit and Grace work. Participants look to their instructor not just for technical guidance, but as proof of what's possible on a mountain bike. We strongly encourage women to apply, as this role is designed to serve a women-only program.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver four progressive Wednesday evening clinic sessions following the Grit and Grace curriculum: Foundations & Fundamentals, Pumping & Flow, Cornering Confidence, and Putting It All Together
  • Create a judgment-free, supportive group environment where participants feel safe to try, fail, and try again
  • Assess and adapt to the varying skill levels within each group session
  • Foster connection and community among participants throughout the series
  • Manage session logistics including participant check-in, shuttle coordination, and equipment checks
  • Represent the spirit and values of the Grit and Grace program

Qualifications

  • PMBIA Level 1 certification or equivalent mountain bike coaching credential required; Level 2 preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Prior instructional or coaching experience in mountain biking or a related outdoor sport
  • Experience working with women and girls in a recreational or athletic setting strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of the unique dynamics of women-only learning environments
  • Comfortable riding and demonstrating skills on shuttle-served, downhill terrain
  • Warm, encouraging communication style with strong group facilitation skills

Schedule & Compensation

Wednesday evenings, 5:30–7:30pm. Dates TBD. Part-time, seasonal. Compensation commensurate with experience and certification level. Details provided upon application.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Clinic Instructor to deliver our structured mountain bike skills clinics to riders across all ability levels. Our clinic series covers Fundamentals of Downhill Mountain Biking, Pumping & Suspension Fundamentals, and Cornering Mastery. Instructors will deliver engaging, progressive sessions that build rider confidence and technical skill in a supportive, shuttle-served environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured clinic sessions following established curriculum for each clinic topic
  • Assess participant skill levels and adapt coaching approach to meet individual needs within the group setting
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and encouraging learning environment for riders of all abilities
  • Manage group dynamics and maintain safety protocols throughout each session
  • Assist with clinic logistics including participant check-in, equipment checks, and shuttle coordination
  • Represent Panhandle Bike Ranch professionally and enthusiastically

Qualifications

  • PMBIA Level 1 certification or equivalent mountain bike coaching credential required; Level 2 preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Prior instructional experience in mountain biking or a related outdoor sport
  • Demonstrated ability to teach technical skills to diverse groups in an engaging and accessible way
  • Comfortable riding and demonstrating skills on shuttle-served, downhill terrain
  • Strong communication, organization, and people skills

Schedule & Compensation

Part-time, seasonal position. Biweekly evening classes. Hourly rate commensurate with experience and certification level. Details provided upon application.
